Switzerland,
in a different light.
From Bern’s arcaded streets to the heights of the Jungfrau region and the Italian-speaking squares of Ticino. Four days, three changing horizons, one carefully connected route.

Mountains and towns.
Room for both.
A shared journey for no more than six guests, connected by a business van and driver-guide. Its value lies in a smaller group and help with the practical details. Hotels are local ordinary four-star properties; this is not a private charter or a luxury-hotel promise. English and Chinese guiding options may share a vehicle when passenger numbers are low.

Day 1 · Zurich → Biel → Bern
Meet your driver-guide in Zurich at the agreed morning pickup point and travel to Biel. The watchmaking theme centres on the sculptural Swatch headquarters and the OMEGA Museum, whose exhibits connect craftsmanship with sporting timekeeping and space exploration. Continue to Bern, where the medieval old town, arcades and fountains provide a change from modern watchmaking architecture. Museum interiors depend on opening hours and the agreed programme; the first overnight is in Bern or a nearby city.
Overnight: Bern or a nearby city.

Day 2 · Bern→ Interlaken → Jungfrau (Top of Europe) → Leukerbad
Leave Bern for the lake-and-mountain setting of Interlaken. Travellers choosing the separately paid Jungfraujoch excursion can combine the Eiger Express with the mountain railway; the high-altitude visit includes opportunities to explore the Sphinx viewing area and Ice Palace when operating. This is an optional mountain journey, not an included ticket or a guaranteed clear-weather panorama. Continue to Leukerbad, where Alpine thermal baths offer a different way to enjoy the mountains. Spa admission is extra. Ask for the meeting arrangements if you do not take the mountain excursion, and do not buy timed tickets before the day’s plan is confirmed.
Overnight: Leukerbad or a nearby city.

Day 3 · Leukerbad → Saas-Fee → Locarno
Travel from Leukerbad to Saas-Fee, where a car-free village setting brings the mountains close without the atmosphere of a large city. The handbook presents the Mittelallalin mountain railway and glacier attractions as possible experiences; these require additional tickets and suitable operating conditions. Continue to Locarno in the Italian-speaking south, with time centred on its café-lined Piazza Grande and town atmosphere. A funicular visit towards Madonna del Sasso is optional. The change from Alpine village to southern town is the day’s main contrast; no mountain ascent or restaurant meal is included automatically.
Overnight: Locarno or a nearby city.

Day 4 · Locarno → Bellinzona → Schwyz (Stoos) → Lindt Home of Chocolate → Zurich
Begin with Bellinzona’s castle-town setting before continuing towards Schwyz and Stoos. The distinctive barrel-shaped Stoos funicular is a separately paid option, subject to operation and the agreed schedule. The route then reaches Lindt Home of Chocolate in Kilchberg: museum admission and any workshop must be arranged separately, and the supplier recommends advance tickets because capacity is limited. Return to Zurich in the early evening for drop-off at the agreed point. This is an approximate return period, not a guaranteed flight connection; allow your onward travel to be confirmed against the final itinerary.
Tour ends today; no hotel night is included tonight.
Your Zurich address.
Your agreed collection time.
Meeting city: Zurich. The handbook specifies morning collection at a pre-arranged time and place. It does not publish a fixed departure hour or a universal meeting-hotel address.
City-centre door-to-door pickup when joining and drop-off when leaving are included. Send us your Zurich hotel name, full address and contact number so the operator can confirm its service area and vehicle access. A requested hotel is not an accepted pickup point until confirmed. Collection from every customer-selected hotel, airport or outlying address is not guaranteed or automatically included.
The operator says the driver-guide will contact guests by 21:00 local time on the day before departure. If you have not heard from the guide, call the number on your official tour voucher. Present the printed or electronic voucher when boarding and carry valid travel documents.
End point: the pre-arranged drop-off location in Zurich. The handbook anticipates an evening return on the last day, without a guaranteed clock time. Airport transfers, pre/post-tour hotels and connecting flights must be confirmed separately before you commit to onward travel.
The details that matter.
Accommodation and breakfast
3 nights in local ordinary four-star hotels, based on twin/double sharing, with continental breakfast—typically tea or coffee, juice, bread and jam. The operator allocates properties; a central sightseeing location is not promised. If the planned town and nearby hotels are full, another suitable hotel along the route may be used. Rooms can be modest, and air-conditioning and full toiletries are not guaranteed.
Vehicle, group and guiding language
The handbook states a minimum of two paying guests and a maximum of six. Travel is by a 5–9-seat air-conditioned business van with a driver-guide for up to ten hours daily; vehicle model and luggage capacity depend on allocation. English and Chinese options exist, but different-language guests may share one vehicle when numbers are low. An exclusively single-language vehicle is not guaranteed. Specify your language preference when enquiring.
Included in the fare
3 hotel nights with continental breakfast, the business van and driver-guide, fuel, parking, the driver’s accommodation and meals, and joining/leaving transfers within the stated city-centre scope. Included driver meals are operating costs, not lunch or dinner for passengers.
Costs to budget separately
Lunch, dinner, drinks, admission tickets, themed activities, trains/mountain transport/boats, local accommodation taxes, insurance, visas and flights are excluded. Mandatory driver-guide tips are EUR10 per passenger per day for adults and children: EUR40 for this tour, payable in cash on tour. Driver-guide overtime beyond ten hours costs EUR80 per hour; extra hours are not automatically available or included. Accommodation taxes are payable under the applicable hotel/local rules.
Luggage and walking
Each guest may bring one suitcase no larger than 28 inches and weighing less than 30 kg, plus one small bag no larger than 20 inches. Extra luggage is accepted only if space permits. The handbook lists €5 per extra piece/day and £5 for specified UK services; confirm the applicable currency and acceptance before travelling. Many sights require walking because vans cannot stop at the entrance. The operator says these shared tours cannot accommodate guests requiring wheelchairs; tell us about mobility or assistance needs before booking.
Children, companions and documents
The age 0–11 child fare applies when sharing with two adults without an extra bed. Two adults and two children are charged as four adults in two rooms. Supplier conditions require under-18s, pregnant guests and guests aged 80+ to travel with an adult relative or friend under 75. Pregnant guests and those aged 70+ must also complete the operator’s commitment/waiver form. Check all passport, visa and entry requirements; the handbook additionally specifies its minimum six-month passport-validity requirement.
Confirmation, payment and cancellation
An inquiry creates neither a reservation nor a payment. Operator acceptance, written confirmation and an official tour voucher are required; confirm the tour before buying connecting flights. Your payment deadline will be stated in the formal quotation and confirmation; the balance must be received by that date. Late requests need acceptance and payment confirmation. For cancellation/rescheduling 16 or more days before departure, the handbook allows a full refund/free rescheduling; 15–8 days, a 50% fee of the full invoice; seven days or fewer, no refund or rescheduling. No-shows, lateness and unused services remain subject to the confirmed terms.
