Sunday · Arrive in Taipei
A gentle beginning, in a city full of possibilities.
Your Taiwan story begins at Taoyuan International Airport. A private, unescorted transfer brings you to your selected Taipei hotel, with the rest of the day free to settle in after the flight. Take a neighbourhood walk, seek out a first taste of Taiwanese cooking at your own expense, or simply rest. The island can wait until tomorrow.
Monday · Sun Moon Lake
Follow the light into the heart of the island.
Leave the capital for Sun Moon Lake, where wooded mountains gather around the water. Discover the Thao community’s heritage at Ita Thao village, then visit Ci’en Pagoda, Xuanzang Temple and Wenwu Temple. Between temple courtyards and lakeside viewpoints, the scenery keeps changing its expression. Your English-speaking guide brings the stories behind these places into focus before your overnight stay by the lake or in Taichung.
Tuesday · Tainan & Kaohsiung
Old streets. Local flavours. A golden welcome.
Travel south to Tainan, where Fort Zeelandia and Anping Old Street reveal layers of island history. Traditional storefronts and tempting local snacks make this a wonderful place to explore with your senses; food purchases are at your own expense. Continue to Fo Guang Shan Monastery near Kaohsiung, where the peaceful grounds and Buddhist heritage offer a different kind of discovery. The evening is yours to enjoy.
Wednesday · Kenting & Zhiben
Where Taiwan meets the open sea.
Reach the island’s southern coast and discover Kenting’s dramatic headlands: Maopitou, Chuanfan Rock, Eluanpi Lighthouse and the open Pacific outlook at Longpan Park. Follow the scenic South Link Highway toward Taitung, trading southern sea views for an evening in Zhiben’s hot spring country. The contrast is part of the pleasure—an expansive day outdoors, followed by a distinctive resort setting.
Thursday · Pacific coast & Jiaoxi
Let the coastline take the lead.
The eastern shore is Taiwan at its most elemental. Explore Xiaoyeliu’s coastal geology, Sanxiantai’s remarkable arched bridge, Shitiping’s wave-shaped rock terraces and the scenery of Fanshuliao. Continue to Hualien for the train journey to Yilan. Your day finishes in Jiaoxi, where another of Taiwan’s renowned hot spring regions adds a restful change of scene.
Friday · Yilan & Taipei
A taste of the island’s creative spirit.
Visit King Car Kavalan Whisky Distillery to learn about Taiwanese whisky making, then discover the National Center for Traditional Arts. Heritage architecture, exhibitions and cultural displays offer a closer look at traditions that continue to shape island life. Return to Taipei for your final overnight stay and a free evening: time to revisit a favourite flavour or make one last city discovery of your own.
Saturday · Taipei & departure
A final chapter, rich in stories.
A guided morning brings together the National Palace Museum, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall and Longshan Temple—art, history and living traditions in one memorable introduction to the capital. Return to your hotel, with free time as your flight schedule permits, before your private, unescorted transfer to Taoyuan Airport. Head home with a fuller picture of Taiwan, or keep the journey going with the optional Hong Kong extension.

Do the seven days include my flights from LAX?
No. The seven-day, six-night land program begins with Sunday arrival in Taiwan and ends on Saturday. International flight time is additional. We coordinate flight schedules with the tour.
Is this a private or Chinese-speaking tour?
This package uses an English-speaking guide and shared touring vehicle. Airport transfers are private and unescorted. If you prefer private arrangements or a Chinese-speaking tour, tell Gala Holidays and we can discuss suitable alternatives with a separate quotation.
Are all hotel nights five-star?
The four touring nights are at five-star hotels or similar. The two Taipei nights depend on your selected A, B or C option. All hotel assignments are subject to availability.
Can I travel in summer or over the holidays?
Ask us for a current quotation. May–August summer break and December winter break require high-season pricing. The published land-program validity must also be checked for your dates.
Does sending an enquiry reserve my place?
No. Our team will confirm availability, flight and hotel arrangements, the complete price and booking terms before a reservation is confirmed.
